A Brief History Of Dublin Ohio
Dublin was first settled in 1802, but truly took shape in 1808, when the Sells family bought 400 acres. The town was named by John Sells’ Irish friend, John Shields. By 1970, Dublin was still only a small town, but after the construction of I-270, the population boomed to 31,000 by 2000.
